January 2025 Update

The year’s kicked off to a great start, (even if I’m struggling to readjust to the cold here in the UK!) and I’ll share soon a big ‘blog update’ for a client.

I’m hoping we’ll be able to leave behind the Waves PR name to make this a little more personal, a bit more rounded , but we shall see! There are complications with email addresses and allsorts to consider!

Meanwhile, here’s what I can tell you about January so far:

Classes with Claire: Spanish Lessons

Having used Spanish teaching to supplement my income whilst in Spain, I fell back in love with teaching (I used to give one to one lessons). It made sense to bring these fun classes here to the UK – not for people who want to pass exams or use it for business, they are well served. But a fun environment, using brain friendly learning techniques to try and engage people with the language and help them gain the confidence to communicate.

People could sign up via Eventbrite for very low cost, local Spanish lessons (for the UK) – more on this as they get moving, but the leaflets arrived:

CAAGe (the Campaign Against Adult Grooming) update:

CAAGe logo
  • Blog: On Grooming Gangs.
  • The whole issue of grooming gangs lead to us being invited to speak on various platforms, much of which we refused as they were primarily talking about the grooming of children, and much of it couched in very racist terms. We know well that groomers aren’t all the same! If you want to chip in, though, you can do here: CAAGe Crowdfunder
  • We have several behind the scenes activities creating reports for government authotities. Hopefully we’ll be able to share these in the coming months.
  • We have some big cases ongoing. It’s not my place to discuss them, the stories belong to the victims, but what I will say is that it never fails to amaze me how strong you have to be to go through the UK justice system.

Blogs for Pink Storage

Busy start to the year, but I always have room for a little more corporate blogging with a friendly twist!
